Yes! Street Box and Street Blox projects are open to all artists from all organizations. In fact, we often find that collaboration is the key to success. In the application, artists can submit individually or as a group. If an arts organization's submission is chosen, payment for each completed box will be made to the arts organization. It will be the responsibility of the arts organization to provide payment to individual artists
Community engagement makes for successful communities. The process of public participation and involvement in public art programs allows community members an opportunity to express their needs and values, build relationships with their neighbors and strengthen their civic pride. Community engagement can bring vibrancy and innovation to ideas, making more perspectives available to decision makers. It also strengthens the degree of public commitment to a project and to a community. Final selection of artwork will be made by a committe comprised of community members and art professionals.
It is surprising how often it is expected that artists will work for free. We feel very strongly about paying artists a fair wage for the specialized work that they do. All people should be fairly compensated for their time, labor and talents. Our artists are our neighbors, family and friends. Their well being means the well being of the neighborhoods we serve.
Our team at 11:11 ACC are experts at the beautification of communities through art. Our services include wall murals, public art installations, art walks, art and music festivals, branding and design. We are able to provide valuable tools such has interactive web pages, mobile friendly tours and promotion to help communities find continued success.
